Tec 40 is your entry to decompression diving: limited deco, one stage of accelerated deco gas and solid gas planning. It starts from Advanced Open Water, Enriched Air and Deep (or 10 dives to 30 metres), with 30 logged dives, aged 18 or over.

Tec 45 brings longer decompression, more complex planning and full technical configuration. It starts from Tec 40 and Rescue Diver, with 10 dives deeper than 30 metres and 50 logged dives, aged 18 or over.

Tec 50 is the top of the air and nitrox Tec Rec range: extended deco, multiple deco gases and leading-edge discipline. It starts from Tec 45 and Rescue Diver, with 100 logged dives (or 75 hours underwater), aged 18 or over, and runs in Malta or Cyprus.

Not sure you're ready to commit? Tec Basics lets you try it properly first, and it counts towards Tec 40.
